Land Revenue Office Chief jailed, fined for court's contempt

KATHMANDU, Feb 10: The High Court Janakpur has sentenced the chief of the Land Reform and Revenue Office, Dhanusha, Ganesh Prasad Aryal, to a month with a fine of Rs 5,000 for contempt of court.

The bench of Acting Chief Judge Tek Narayan Kunwar and Judge Krishna Prasad Subedi ordered a fine for Aryal. 


"It was observed that the court's order was disregarded as the head of the office did not comply with the court's order. In other similar petitions submitted to this court, previous action has been taken for contempt," the order stated.
