KATHMANDU, June 2: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) escalated 22.21 points to close at 2,777.58 points.
The secondary market opened at 2,755.37 points, initially inclined to 2,762.52 points in the first two minutes. The index plunged to the day low at 2,746.08 points in the next one hour. In the next moment, the market went to an inclining graph, while adding 31 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.
Nepse up for a fifth consecutive week
Only manufacturing and processing was the loser of 46.92 points. Of the 12 gainers, the finance index surged by the largest of 143.18 points, followed by non-life insurance with three-digit point’s growth of 114.17.
The sensitive index, which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies, increased 2.78 points. Daily turnover fell to Rs 5.26 billion from Rs 5.61 billion.
Among the individual companies, 183 were the gainers as 78 lost their charms for the investors. Ankhu Khola Jalvidhyut Company had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 467.65 million.
Kalinchok Hydropower Limited stood as the topmost gainers 14.98 percent. Nabil Debenture 2085 witnessed the highest fall of 4.50 percent in its market value.
