KATHMANDU, Dec 12: Nikita Paudel, wife of Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) chair Rabi Lamichhane, has alleged that her husband was subjected to a “planned vendetta” following a court order granting him release on bail in a cooperative fraud case.
Paudel claimed Lamichhane was targeted because of his entry into politics, arguing that state mechanisms were misused to weaken growing public trust in the RSP and to inflict personal suffering.

In a social media post, she wrote that a chapter of a fabricated narrative aimed at undermining public confidence and harassing them personally had come to an end with Thursday’s court order.
Reflecting on the period of detention, Paudel said Lamichhane endured the hardship of confinement while she suffered the deep void created by his absence, describing the ordeal as one that an ordinary person could scarcely withstand.
Interpreting the court’s decision as a reaffirmation of justice, she expressed confidence that they would continue to pursue their path through legal and judicial means.
