KATHMANDU, Feb 16: The 11th edition of the Pakistan-Nepal Friendship T20 Cricket Tournament 2026 concluded on Sunday with the final match and closing ceremony held at the Pakistan Embassy premises in Kathmandu.
Organized from February 7 to 15, the annual tournament featured 12 teams from various Nepali clubs, including the Pakistan Embassy Team. Held since 2014, it aims to promote youth cricket and strengthen sporting ties between Pakistan and Nepal, according to a press statement by the Embassy of Pakistan in Nepal.

Baluwatar Cricket Academy won the title, while the Pakistan Embassy Team finished runner-up.
Ambassador of Pakistan to Nepal, Abrar H. Hashmi, presented trophies, medals and cash prizes to the winners and top performers.
The event was attended by the ambassadors of Bangladesh and China, the Secretary General of SAARC, the Charge d’Affaires of Malaysia, officials of the Cricket Association of Nepal, and representatives from alumni networks, media and civil society, the press statement reads.
Seven Nepali cricketers who later advanced to national-level teams were also recognized.
In his remarks, Ambassador Hashmi reaffirmed Pakistan’s commitment to youth engagement and announced that the 12th edition in 2027 will expand to 16 teams.
