KATHMANDU, June 10: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) of Nepal Police has arrested two involved in smuggling illegal drugs after firing seven rounds of bullets in Tokha, Kathmandu. The incident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at 3 pm.
According to NCB Spokesperson Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Janak Bahadur Shahi, the arrested individuals have been identified as Sashik Alam,40, and Mohammad Manzoor Alam,22, both Indian nationals.

"Based on information about illegal drug trade in Tokha Municipality-3, our team reached the location. When we tried to detain the two individuals found there, they attacked the police with iron rods," said DSP Shahi, “As a result, the police were forced to open fire."
DSP Shahi said that Head Constable Navaraj Ghising and Constable Rabindra KC were injured in the attack.
“While trying to resist, both police constables suffered hand injuries. The arrested traders were shot below the knee," said SP Shahi. He said that all the injured are currently undergoing treatment at the Nepal Police Hospital.
Police stated that they had to fire seven rounds to bring the suspects under control. “One person was hit by one round, and the other was hit by two rounds below the knee,” SP Shahi said, “Two hundred grams of brown heroin were also recovered from them.”
