KATHMANDU, Jan 31: The government has appointed Samir Jung Shah as the Executive Chairman of the state-owned Nepal Television.

A cabinet meeting held on Monday made a decision to this effect. Shah, who is currently serving at Radio Nepal, is a former Chairman of Nepal Press Union (NPU) close to ruling Nepali Congress (NC).
