UDAYAPUR, Nov 10: Four people seriously injured in the accident at Shantichowk, Bagaha of Triyuga Municipality–4 have been referred to Biratnagar for further treatment. Out of the 12 injured, four were referred to Biratnagar after initial treatment, while seven others have been discharged and two are still undergoing treatment at the District Hospital in Gaighat, police said.
According to the hospital, those referred to Biratnagar include 60-year-old Ramkumari Rai of Triyuga-11 Sangam Tol, 77-year-old Khadga Bahadur Khadka of Triyuga-2, Khaijanpur, 50-year-old Nar Bahadur Khatri of the same ward and 22-year-old Kebal Thakuri of Triyuga-7 Chuhade.

Those discharged after treatment include 74-year-old Purna Bahadur Rai and 17-year-old Prajita BK of Triyuga-11 Sangam Tol; 45-year-old Tirtha Ghimire of Khijidemba Rural Municipality-2, Okhaldhunga; 27-year-old Chandramaya Chaudhary of Saptari’s Surunga Municipality-1; her 4-year-old daughter Erina Chaudhary; and 44-year-old Shambhuraj Pokharel of Gokarneshwar Municipality-2, Kathmandu.
Still receiving treatment at the District Hospital are 44-year-old Gyanendra BK of Triyuga-12 and the vehicle driver, 26-year-old Upendra Sah, a permanent resident of Hanumannagar Municipality, Saptari, currently living in Triyuga-3 Motigadha, according to the District Police Office, Udayapur.
The incident occurred when a Winger vehicle (Na 1 Ja 8391), travelling from Gaighat towards Lahan along the Sagarmatha Highway, lost control and rammed into a cement wall at the roadside in Shantichowk, Triyuga-4.
