KATHMANDU, Nov 1: Shree Airlines flight en route to Kathmandu from Dhangadhi made an emergency landing at Gautam Buddha International Airport in Bhairahawa on Saturday morning after experiencing a technical snag midair.
According to airport officials, Flight 222, which departed Dhangadhi at around 10 AM., suffered a hydraulic failure before reaching Kathmandu and was diverted to Bhairahawa for a safe landing.

The aircraft encountered a hydraulic issue and was safely landed at Gautam Buddha Airport as per the airport’s information authority. Other flights were disrupted for about 40 minutes as the plane was unable to move from the runway due to the hydraulic problem.
All 82 passengers and crew members on board are safe. A replacement aircraft was dispatched from Kathmandu to pick up the stranded passengers.
The flight reportedly faced a front landing gear malfunction during landing and was initially stopped on the runway. The issue was resolved around 12:30 PM after which the aircraft was towed and parked at the Gautam Buddha International Airport terminal.
The airport is now normally operating.
