KATHMANDU, March 25: Following the Cabinet decision on March 30, the first meeting of the “Task Force for Drafting Constitution Amendment Discussion Paper”, chaired by Prime Minister’s Chief Political Advisor Asim Shah, is scheduled for 3:00 PM today at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers (OPMCM).
The task force brings together key political and legal figures, including Mohan Acharya of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, former Constituent Assembly member Bhishmanath Adhikari from CPN-UML, Dev Prasad Gurung, leader and former Constituent Assembly member of the Nepali Communist Party, Parliamentary Party Leader Gyanendra Shahi of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party, and General Secretary Manoj Bhatta from Rastriya Janamorcha.

Law Secretary Pushkar Sapkota from OPMCM and Secretary Indira Dahal of the Nepal Law Commission are also part of the task force, with Liladhar Subedi, Chief of the Law and Implementation Division at OPMCM, serving as Member-Secretary.
The Prime Minister’s Office added that the Nepali Congress, Shram Sanskriti Party, Janata Samajwadi Party, and Loktantrik Samajwadi Party are expected to select their representatives for the task force today, completing the team for the crucial first discussions.
