JHAPA, July 9: Two people died and two others were critically injured after a motorcycle collided head-on with a scooter at Khairbari, Bahradashi Rural Municipality–1, Jhapa, on Wednesday at around 3:40 pm.
According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Khagendra Bahadur Khadka, a motorcycle bearing Indian registration number heading toward Kuti from Rajgadh collided with a scooter bearing registration number Pradesh 1–01–016 Pa 9270, coming from the opposite direction.

Both the scooter rider and the motorcyclist sustained serious injuries and were rushed to the Provincial Hospital in Bhadrapur, where they died during treatment.
A woman and a child—approximately seven years old—who were on the scooter, are receiving treatment at B&C Hospital in Birtamod.
DSP Khadka said that the identities of the deceased and injured are yet to be confirmed, and further investigation is underway.
