KATHMANDU, Oct 30: Police have arrested two youths who fired a pistol stolen during the September 9 Gen Z protest.



The Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office took 23-year-old Samir Shrestha of Nuwakot and Alex Nepali of Kavre in custody.

The two were seen in a viral social media video firing the stolen pistol from their rooftop while smoking cigarettes.


Authorities reported that their actions caused fear near Ichangu Narayan Temple in Kathmandu. Police recovered one pistol and 12 rounds of ammunition from their possession.
