US envoy for South and Central Asia congratulates RSP Chief Lamichhane on poll victory

KATHMANDU, March 25: Sergio Gor, the US Special Representative for South and Central Asian Affairs, has congratulated Rabi Lamichhane, chairperson of the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), on the party’s electoral success.

According to the US Embassy in Kathmandu, Special Representative Gor called on Tuesday to personally congratulate RSP. During the phone conversation, he highlighted the United States’ eagerness to work with Nepal’s new government, strengthen economic partnerships, and deepen bilateral friendship.


In the House of Representatives elections held on March 5, RSP secured a total of 182 seats out of 275, winning 125 directly elected seats and 57 proportional representation seats.
