KATHMANDU, Jan 7: The death toll in the Jarsingpauwa bus accident on Wednesday evening has reached four.
Police have so far identified one of the victims. According to police, 55-year-old Shanti Gupta of Mulpani died in the crash. The identities of the other deceased victims have yet to be confirmed.
Death toll reaches to 7 in Nuwakot bus accident
The bus was carrying passengers returning from a picnic when it met with the accident, police said. They were all the staffs of Nature Hub company.
Police said around 35 people were left injured in the accident after the bus fell around 100 meters off the road. The injured have been admitted to Sankharapur Hospital, Nepal Medical College, Mulpani Municipal Hospital and Sushma Koirala Memorial Hospital.
Traffic Police Superintendent Naresh Raj Subedi said critically injured patients are being referred to other hospitals for further treatment as needed..
