KATHMANDU, April 15: Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, who is also Chancellor of Tribhuvan University (TU), has assigned the responsibility of the acting Vice Chancellor of TU to Rector Prof Dr Khadga KC for a maximum period of three months.
The appointment was made in accordance with Clause 21 (b) of the Tribhuvan University Act, 2049, and follows the decision made by Chancellor Oli on April 13. Dr KC will serve in this role until a new Vice Chancellor is appointed.

The position fell vacant after the resignation of former Vice Chancellor Prof. Dr Keshar Jung Baral, which was approved on April 10.
