As of today, 823 men and 228 women have submitted applications, he informed. Applications were initially sought from January 8–15. Since insufficient applications were received during that period, the deadline was extended by two more days, January 16–17, SP Bharati said.
He added that an additional 436 applicants are still needed to meet the required number. As the target has not yet been reached, the deadline has now been extended for a third time, until Sunday.
