BHAKTAPUR, July 20: Police have launched an investigation after an 18-year-old woman was found dead at a guest house in Dudhpati, Bhaktapur Municipality-1, early Monday morning.
Police have detained four individuals in connection with the incident for questioning.
The deceased has been identified as Salina Shrestha, originally from Bhimeshwor Municipality-9, Kharidhunga, Dolakha, who had been residing in Tedol, Changunarayan Municipality-9.

According to police, Shrestha was found lying behind Lumbini Guest House at around 3:30 am. A police team from the Dudhpati Police Unit reached the scene immediately after receiving information and rushed her to Bhaktapur Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead at 3:50 am.
Preliminary investigation shows that Shrestha had checked into the guest house at around 10 pm on Sunday with four other people. The group had rented two rooms. According to guest house staff, they consumed alcohol and created a disturbance inside the rooms.
Following the incident, police detained the two men and two women who had been staying with Shrestha. All four are under the age of 23, according to the Bhaktapur District Police Office.
In their initial statements, the four told investigators they did not know when or how Shrestha fell from the window during the gathering.
Police said they are investigating the incident from multiple angles to determine the exact cause of death.
The body has been kept at Bhaktapur Hospital for a post-mortem examination, and police said further details will emerge after the autopsy report is received.
