DHARAN, July 14: Two employees of the Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) died in a road accident that occurred at Seuti Bridge of Itahari Sub-metropolis along the Dharan-Itahari roadway.
Even an employee was injured in the incident that occurred last midnight. The NEA vehicle (Ba 1 Yan 1651) met with the accident last midnight, according to Chandra Bahadur Khadka, information officer at the District Police Office, Sunsari.
NEA regional offices transfer over 2,500 junior staff
Driver Birkh Rai from Dharan-13 and employee Suman Acharya from Dharan-16 were seriously injured in the incident. They breathed their last while undergoing treatment at BP Koirala Institute of Health Sciences at 12:45 am last night, Khadka added.
Another employee injured in the incident, Padam Rai, from Dharan-20 has been receiving treatment. Investigation into the incident is underway, the police added.
