BAGLUNG, March 14: Vaccinations against measles have been administered in Dhorpatan Municipality, Baglung.
On Friday, 4,617 children and adolescents were vaccinated simultaneously across all nine wards of the municipality.
Necessary human resources reached the schools and health facilities in the affected areas to administer the vaccinations on Friday.

Measles had spread like an epidemic in the remote villages of Dhorpatan. Vaccinations were targeted for 6,763 children and adolescents in total, while 4,617 were vaccinated on the first day, it is informed.
Children and adolescents missing vaccinations will be reached again at schools, home, and health facilities for inoculation services.
As many as 74 suspected measles cases were found in the villages of Bobang, Serabang, and Lakuribot in wards 7, 8, and 9 of Dhorpatan Municipality.
Among them, 32 patients have been admitted and treated while seven children are still undergoing treatment.
Prabin Sharma, chief of the Provincial Public Health Office, informed that isolation has been prepared at Bobang Health Post in Dhorpatan Municipality-8 for the control of measles.
Children aged 10 to 19 from all wards of the municipality have been administered with the measles vaccine.
Similarly, 237 health workers involved in treatment have also been vaccinated against measles.
