KATHMANDU, Jan 2: The Election Commission (EC) has urged concerned parties to arrange the transportation of essential election materials for the upcoming March 5 House of Representatives (HoR) elections.
Helicopters, trucks, and containers will be used for transporting the election materials. The EC has invited firms and companies operating courier services to register for delivering election-related materials. Interested firms or companies are requested to apply for enlistment after meeting all required conditions.

The EC has requested submission of copies of the certification (permission) obtained from the relevant authority to operate the service, a VAT registration certificate, a tax clearance certificate up to fiscal year 2081/82 BS, and turnover certificates for the past three fiscal years.
Firms providing helicopter rental services must have a minimum average annual turnover of Rs 30 million over the past three fiscal years. Those providing truck and container services must submit turnover details of Rs 10 million, while courier service providers must show Rs 3 million.
Companies applying to provide courier services must include details of their offices and representatives in all 77 districts, along with telephone and mobile numbers.
The EC has stated that if an application is submitted for more than one category, it will not be processed. The EC reserves the right to make the final decision regarding the enlistment of any service-providing firm or company.
