KATHMANDU, March 17: Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) on Tuesday surged 13.51 points to close at 2,812.34 points.
NEPSE opened at 2,798.83 points added around two points in the pre-opening session. The market escalated to 2,807.86 points in the first 11 minutes before it plunged to the day’s low at 2,788.03 points in the next 20 minutes. The market went through heavy fluctuations till the last 25 minutes, which however soared 13 points in the remaining period before it closed for the day.

Sector-wise, six were the gainers, with hydropower group grew by the largest of 59.98 points. Of the seven losers, life insurance plunged by the largest of 42.56 points.
The sensitive index which measures the performance of ‘A’ class companies inclined 2.14 points. Daily turnover inclined to Rs 12.03 billion from Rs 11.97 billion.
Among the individual companies, 132 were the gainers and 113 lost their market charms. Ridi Power Company Limited had the largest turnover of its shares worth Rs 563.76 million.
Reliance Spinning Mills and Solu Hydropower Limited were the topmost gainers. NIC Asia Growth Fund-2 with a decline of 4.74 percent in its market value was recorded as highest loser.
