KATHMANDU, March 25: Kulman Ghising, chair of the Ujyalo Nepal Party, has dismissed what he calls a wave of misleading narratives about him circulating on social media.
His remarks come amid growing speculation that he could be appointed a minister in the upcoming government led by the Rastriya Swatantra Party. Ghising, however, ruled out the possibility, stating that Nepal’s Constitution does not allow a non-member of parliament to become a minister.

He also rejected any suggestion of entering parliament through alternative means, saying such a move would go against the public mandate. “I cannot even imagine taking that path,” he said, adding that he has not held any discussions with anyone about joining the government.
Referring to the recent election held in the aftermath of the Gen Z movement, Ghising said he respects the public verdict and will now focus on strengthening his party in the coming days.
Reaffirming his commitment to good governance and prosperity, Ghising urged the public not to be swayed by what he described as false and misleading information being spread about him.
