KATHMANDU, Feb 6: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has finally expressed condolences and apology on the death of a four-year-old girl after she was hit by a vehicle used during an election campaign in Rautahat.
Paying tribute to the deceased child and expressing condolences to the bereaved family, the party said it has taken the incident with utmost seriousness and said it is extremely shocked and saddened by the news of the child’s untimely death.
RSP seeks explanation from General Secretary Dhakal
Issuing a statement RSP said it will provide full cooperation to the local administration for an objective investigation into the incident. The statement also mentioned that the party will leave no stone unturned in the legal process and in ensuring justice for the victim’s family.
The party further informed that necessary initiatives are being undertaken on its behalf to provide possible relief and assistance to the affected family.
RSP General Secretary Kabindra Burlakoti said the party has issued strict instructions to party ranks, candidates and drivers to exercise high alert while operating vehicles used during election campaigns and to prioritise safety sensitivity.
