ITAHARI, June 20: Two people died while seven others sustained serious injuries in a truck accident that occurred at Koshi barrage on Wednesday.
According to DSP Narayan Chimoriya of Sunsari District Police Office, a truck, Na 4 Kha 356, heading toward east carrying an excavator fell into the Koshi River.

The accident took place when the speeding truck suddenly dashed against the southern railing of the bridge between the two sluices (19 and 30).
The deceased have been identified as driver Binod Rasaili of Barahachhetra, Sunsari and excavator driver Ghana Shyam Chaudhary of Ramdhuni,Sunsari.
