KATHMANDU, April 14: A group of animal activists staged protests against animal cruelty at Maitighar in Kathmandu on Wednesday.
Earlier, a video showing two men beating a dog tied to an electric pole to death went viral on social media. The brutal killing of the chained helpless canine has triggered widespread rage against animal cruelty among animal activists and the general public.

A police complaint was also filed against the perpetrators. Further investigation into the case is underway.
