KATHMANDU, March 1: The Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) has expressed concern over the recent developments and rising tensions in the Middle East.
The NRNA has called on over 1.9 million Nepalis living in countries including Israel, Iran, Qatar, Kuwait, UAE, and Bahrain to prioritize their safety and exercise heightened vigilance.

In a statement issued on Saturday, NRNA urged all Nepalis in these countries to take special care of their security in these challenging circumstances. It emphasized strict adherence to safety directives issued by local authorities and Nepali embassies.
The statement advised: “Avoid going out unless absolutely necessary and stay in safe locations. Refrain from unnecessary travel and keep updated on local developments.”
NRNA also recommended postponing travel plans to the Middle East until the situation stabilizes. For emergencies, Nepalis are urged to stay in regular contact with the National Coordination Council (NCC), NRNA Secretariat, local Nepali communities, and Nepali embassies.
Meanwhile, the NRNA has called on the Nepal government, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Nepali embassies in the region to continuously monitor the situation and ensure timely assistance and effective safety measures for Nepalis abroad.
