KATHMANDU, July 23: Coordinator of the Nepali Communist Party (NCP), Pushpa Kamal Dahal, has said that notable achievements have been made in the economic, social and human development sector after the nation adopted the federal democratic republican order.
Addressing a programme commemorating the 48th death anniversary of Pushpalal Shrestha, the founder of the Nepal Communist Party, organized by the Pushpalal Memorial Foundation in Kirtipur today, he mentioned that progressive forces need to unite to protect the achievements of the republic.
Far from progressive
The NCP Coordinator emphasized that the rights and achievements obtained by the oppressed classes and communities must be protected.
He said, "The communist movement has been organized to bring republican forces together on a single front, while moving forward with a high priority on protecting and strengthening national sovereignty."
NCP co-coordinator Madhav Kumar Nepal emphasized the need to honor Nepal's national figures of the left-democratic movement, including Pushpalal Shrestha, BP Koirala, Madan Bhandari, Tulsi Lal Amatya, Ganeshman Singh, and Krishna Prasad Bhattarai.
