KATHMANDU, May 22: Budhanilkantha Municipality has banned selling of meat and related products, alcoholic beverages and tobacco products within 300 meters of all the major shrines situated in the municipality.
Issuing a public notice on Tuesday, the municipality has prohibited selling of aforementioned products within the designated areas in light of the Liquor Act 1974 and Tobacco Product (Control and Regulatory) Act 2011. The municipality has issued a deadline of seven days to the concerned to implement the provisions.
