CIAA, Kanchanpur, starts detailed investigation into 64 complaints

KANCHANPUR, Aug 26: Kanchanpur Office of Commission for the Investigation of  Abuse of Authority (CIAA) has begun a detailed investigation into 64 complaints in Surdurpaschim Province. 



Information Officer at CIAA, Kanchanpur, Chet Raj Bhatta, shared that 1,696 complaints related to irregularities were filed in the previous fiscal year. Of them, 1,198 were new complaints while 489 were transferred from the previous fiscal year.

The highest 404 complaints of Kailai district were registered, while 246 complaints of Kanchanpur, 210 of Achham, 195 of Bajura, 117 of Bajhang, 104 of Doti, 161 of Baitadi, 149 of Darchula and 110 of Dadeldhura. 


Of the complaints filed at CIAA, Kanchanpur, around 50 percent complaints were related to local levels, said Bhatta. 


Detailed investigation was underway on 13 complaints each of Achham and Baitadi, six complaints each of Bajura, Bajhgang and Kanchanpur, nine of Kailali, seven of Darchula, three of Doti and one of Dadeldhura. 


The CIAA, Kanchanpur, settled 1,234 complaints filed in the last fiscal year.
