CPN's Malla wins in Salyan

Malla secured 23,189 votes to win the seat. His nearest rival, Lalit Bahadur Chand of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, received 20,904 votes, while Kesh Bahadur Bista of the Nepali Congress secured 17,558 votes.

KATHMANDU, March 8: Ramesh Kumar Malla of the Nepali Communist Party has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Salyan.



According to the Election Commission (EC), Malla secured 23,189 votes to win the seat. His nearest rival, Lalit Bahadur Chand of the Rastriya Swatantra Party, received 20,904 votes, while Kesh Bahadur Bista of the Nepali Congress secured 17,558 votes.

Similarly, Gulab Jung Shah of the CPN-UML received 15,373 votes. A total of 14 candidates, including those from major political parties and independent candidates, were in the electoral race.


The constituency had 162,444 registered voters.
