KATHMANDU, April 10: The Nepal Stock Exchange (NEPSE) index fell 13.46 points on Friday to close at 2,837.77, ending a two-day rally in the market.
Most sector indices declined during the session, except for the manufacturing and processing and hydropower subgroups. The “others” subgroup recorded the largest drop, falling 1.39 percent.

Share prices of 209 companies declined, while 56 companies posted gains. The biggest fall was recorded by NIC Asia Balanced Fund, which dropped 4.17 percent.
However, seven companies hit the positive circuit limit, including Bhujung Hydropower, Super Khudi Hydropower, Hotel Forest Inn, Palpa Cement Industries, Ridge Line Energy, Suryakunda Hydropower and Shikhar Power Development.
Total turnover also declined compared to the previous session. Shares worth Rs 8.99 billion were traded on Friday, down from Rs 9.91 billion on Thursday.
Among individual companies, National Hydropower Company recorded the highest turnover at Rs 513.2 million, followed by Reliance Spinning Mills with Rs 435.9 million, and Ridi Power Company with Rs 381.4 million worth of shares traded.
