KATHMANDU, May 26: At least 38 people were injured after a passenger bus traveling from Kathmandu to Surkhet met with an accident in Kapilvastu in the early hours of Tuesday.

The bus (Karnali Province 02-001 Kha 1266) lost control and crashed at Baraipur in Maharajgunj Municipality-4 along the Taulihawa–Bahadurgunj Hulaki Road section, according to police.
Police said two of the injured are in critical condition, 19 sustained moderate injuries, while 17 others suffered minor injuries. All the injured have been sent to different hospitals for treatment.
