KATHMANDU, Dec 16: The Nepal–India Chamber of Commerce & Industry (NICCI) on Tuesday bid farewell to its Vice President Ravi Rayavaram at a programme organised at the NICCI Secretariat.
Rayavaram, Managing Director of Surya Nepal—an ITC subsidiary—had served as NICCI vice president since last year. Following his recent promotion and transfer to Kolkata, he has been succeeded by Gaurav Tayal.
Members of the NICCI executive committee lauded Rayavaram’s contributions to the chamber and wished him success in his new role. In his farewell remarks, Rayavaram said his time at NICCI felt “like being at home”.

NICCI President Sunil KC presented Rayavaram with a token of appreciation and a letter recognising his service, noting that his leadership at Surya Nepal and his role at NICCI had made a significant contribution to the chamber and to Nepal’s economy. “We will cherish his memories,” KC said.
NICCI executive member Sashi Kant Agrawal also extended best wishes, expressing hope that Rayavaram would return to Nepal in a larger role in the future.
Saibal Gosh, co-chair of the Indian Business Forum (IBF) under NICCI, thanked Rayavaram for his active engagement with the chamber and his contribution to bilateral trade and economic relations.
NICCI Vice President Kunal Kayal, along with other executive members including National Insurance Chief Executive Officer Navneet Gupta and Uttam Lama, acknowledged Rayavaram’s dedication and service.
Speaking on the occasion, newly appointed Surya Nepal Managing Director Gaurav Tayal thanked Rayavaram and NICCI for their continued support.
