RSP’s Bhandari elected in Baitadi

According to the final election results of the parliamentary election held last Thursday, Bhandari secured 22,134 votes to win the seat.

BAITADI, March 8: Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) candidate Hari Mohan Bhandari has been elected as a member of the House of Representatives from Baitadi.



According to the final election results of the parliamentary election held last Thursday, Bhandari secured 22,134 votes to win the seat.

His nearest rival, Nepali Congress candidate Chatur Bahadur Chand, received 18,194 votes. CPN-UML candidate Damodar Bhandari, who had been elected three consecutive times from the party earlier, slipped to third position this time, securing 17,091 votes.


The Office of the Chief Election Officer said that 73,148 voters cast their ballots in the single-constituency district.
