KATHMANDU, Feb 24: The British College in Kathmandu has announced that students from its Lalitpur campus (British Model College) secured top national honours at the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards 2025, organised by British Council Services Nepal.
The national awards ceremony was held on February 17, 2026 at The Soaltee Hotel, bringing together high-achieving Cambridge students, academics and education stakeholders, The British College said in a press release. The awards recognised performance in the November 2024 Cambridge examination series.
Nepali students achieve Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards
According to the college, Khushbu Ningleku was named Nepal Topper in AS Level Biology for securing the highest marks nationwide. Pratikshya Ghimire achieved Nepal Topper in AS Level Economics, while Jensha Shrestha received the High Achievement Award in AS Level Sociology.
The college in a press statement said the results reflect its “continued commitment to delivering internationally benchmarked education in Nepal” and highlighted its Cambridge-aligned curriculum and academic mentoring system at the Lalitpur campus.
Rajen Kandel, Group CEO of British Education Group, said the achievements demonstrate the strength of the institution’s academic systems and faculty dedication, adding that the college remains committed to providing a globally competitive learning environment, according to the press release.
The press release further mentioned that the Outstanding Cambridge Learner Awards are organised annually by British Council Services Nepal to recognise top-performing students in Cambridge International examinations.
