Gold gains Rs 3,400 per tola in a week; silver adds Rs 150

The price of gold in the domestic market increased by Rs 3,400 per tola (11.6638 grams) in the past one week.

KATHMANDU, July 25: The price of gold in the domestic market increased by Rs 3,400 per tola (11.6638 grams) in the past one week.



As per the report of Reuters, an international media, gold was buoyed by ‌a softer dollar and technical buying, as markets weighed lingering Middle East tensions and awaited fresh interest rate cues from the US Federal Reserve last week.

According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association (FENEGOSIDA), the market price of gold increased to Rs 285,500 from Rs 282,100 per tola when the market closed the previous week.


The gold price increased in five out of six trading days. The largest increase was seen on Wednesday, when the price escalated by Rs 5,400 per tola. Likewise, the price of precious metal declined Rs 5,800 on Friday.  


The price of silver also increased by Rs 150 last week, increasing from Rs 4,200 to Rs 4,350 per tola.
