KAPILVASTU, April 10: At least 26 passengers were injured when a bus met with an accident in Bankaswasa of Kapilvastu along the East–West Highway last night.
According to the District Police Office, a bus (Ba 1 Kha 4373) en route from Nepalgunj to Kathmandu lost control and overturned, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Ripendra Singh. He added that passengers were rescued immediately after the accident.

Seventeen injured are undergoing treatment at Sanjivani Hospital in Chandrauta, while three others are being treated at a basic hospital.
According to Inspector Santosh Ghimire of the Area Police Office, Chandrauta, six others are receiving treatment in Butwal. Police said the cause of the accident is under investigation.
