KATHMANDU, July 25: Secretary at the Ministry of Education and Sports Chudamani Paudel reached Dhangadhi on Saturday to hold talks with Dr Govinda KC, who has been staging a hunger strike at a dharmashala in the city, demanding reforms in the healthcare sector through his five-point agenda.
In a Facebook post earlier today, Minister for Education and Sports Sasmit Pokharel said Secretary Paudel had reached Dhangadhi to hold direct talks with Dr KC and resolve the issues through dialogue.
According to Minister Pokharel, the Prime Minister's Health Advisor, Dr JP Agrawal, and the Secretary at the Ministry of Health and Food Safety will also join the talks team in Dhangadhi on Sunday.

In his post, Minister Pokharel expressed his commitment to resolving the issue through dialogue at the earliest.
Meanwhile, Dr KC was admitted to Seti Provincial Hospital in Dhangadhi on Saturday afternoon after his health condition deteriorated. He is currently receiving treatment in the hospital's Intensive Care Unit (ICU), according to the hospital's chief, Dr Hemraj Pandey.
Dr KC was admitted to the hospital following coordination with the local administration.
Likewise, Minister for Health and Food Safety Nisha Mehta also inquired about Dr KC's health condition and directed the chief of Seti Provincial Hospital to ensure effective management and coordination for his treatment.
