KATHMANDU, Feb 23: CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has said that the newly formed National Volunteer Force is a disciplined unit that maintains a cordial relationship with the public.
Addressing the Koshi Unified Command Inauguration in Jhapa on Monday, Oli said, “This force is highly disciplined. Its speech is gentle and sweet, and it is fully dedicated to serving the people.” He emphasized that the volunteer force is not meant to spread fear but works under a strict chain of command.

Oli said that the force’s actions and arguments will always be on the side of truth, justice, and peace, and that they are ready to respond if anyone tries to undermine these values. He also issued a clear warning against electoral malpractice or booth capture, saying, “If anyone thinks of capturing booths, they should abandon that idea. UML will not allow anyone to occupy booths.”
He further said that at least 30 volunteers will be deployed at each polling station and directed party workers to form security committees in every village and neighborhood to ensure smooth operations.
