KATHMANDU, May 16: Associate Professor Dr Shesha Kanta Pangeni has been appointed as Officiating Dean at the Kathmandu University School of Education (KUSOED).
He assumed the leadership role following a transitional period that included the end of former Dean Professor Dr Bal Chandra Luitel’s tenure.
Dr Pangeni, previously an Associate Dean and Head of the Department of Educational Leadership, brings over two decades of educational and administrative experience to the role.

At KU, he has also been overseeing the project, “Digitization and Preservation of Library Resources (2024–2027).”
His research focuses on educational leadership, web technologies in higher education, online and distance learning, learning management systems, and ICT in education.
Internationally, he served as a guest researcher at Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet), Oslo, Norway, for one year.
In a message delivered after taking charge, he said, “Our school has always stood as a centre of academic excellence, innovative practices, professional integrity, and social responsibility. In this transitional period, our foremost priority remains the uninterrupted continuation of all academic, administrative, research, and collaborative activities as usual.”
